MY Story
I was the typical “space cadet” in school. For years, I struggled with doing what I was told, staying focused, and being on time. Why did things that were so simple for other kids seem to be impossible for me?
I compensated for my insecurities by acting out and making people laugh, eventually becoming a class clown. In college, trapped in a pre-med path that drained my spirit, I believed I was broken.
Then everything changed.
In my sophomore year, I took an entrepreneurship class with a man named Dr. Friedman. He didn’t preach discipline for the sake of conformity—he championed creativity, curiosity, and breaking the rules. For the first time, someone told me that my way of seeing the world wasn’t a flaw—it was a gift.
The weight I had carried for years vanished, and for the first time, I saw a future that excited me.
I dropped pre-med, dove into business, and found my people—visionaries who saw the world as it could be. I joined clubs that aligned with my passion for public speaking and creative thinking, eventually becoming president of the debate club.
Now, I know I’m not alone. There are future innovators, leaders, and creators out there who, like me, just need a push to embrace who they are. That’s why I created The Visionaries—a community for those who refuse to settle, who think differently, and who dream boldly.
You don’t have to fit in here. You belong.
